Kennedy Center Honors on TV (CBS) - Tues, Dec. 27th /Updated

Hopefully, we will have an opportunity to see The Reverend Al Green on TV. He was one of the performers at the evening gala event held in Washington, DC on December 4, 2005. The 28th Annual Kennedy Center Honors was taped for a 2-hour broadcast on CBS to air on Tuesday, Dec. 27th at 9:00 PM (ET/PT). Tina Turner was one of the five honorees. Beyonce Knowles, Queen Latifah, Melissa Etheridge, and Al Green performed songs in her honor. Al perfomed his song, "Let's Stay Together", which was sucessfully covered by Tina Turner in the 80's. From what I read on the internet, Al finished the all-star tribute to Turner with his song, backed by a choir. CBS had to edit the show to fit the 2-hour time slot. So let's hope that we will see his performance. I can't imagine that CBS would edit him out! Here are several links for more info...

UPDATE: Great News! Al Green is listed as a performer on the Kennedy Center Honors TV special. The following 2 web sites are good sources for finding out when he will be on TV...

They recently changed the search feature on the TV Guide web site. It's not as easy to find out when you favorite performer is going to be on TV.

I saw the Reverend perform tonight and I really enjoyed it!!
