I contacted the Carnegie Hall box office.  They confirmed tickets go on sale Wednesday, April 9, 2008  at 11:00 a.m. at the Carnegie Hall box office.  You can buy tickets at the Carnegie Hall box office, order tickets online or order by phone.

Note:  One of news articles says tickets go on sale Wednesday (April 9th) at 10:00 a.m.  However, when I called CarnegieCharge this evening (4/8), they told me the correct time is 11:00 a.m. (Eastern).  So if you are seriously interested in being among the first to get tickets on April 9th, you should call CarnegieCharge when they open at 8:00 a.m. to confirm the time.
