NEW R7B ALBUM
PROCESSIONAL page 3

Monday through Saturday, the Greens shared their conviction for hard work with children Walter, William, Mary, Odessa and Robert Jr.--their youngest son, Al, who was born in 1946, was still too young to struggle with convictions. Sundays were another matter. Sunday was the day of rest and was meant for praising God. Since Daddy was a Baptist they sometimes walked to his church, Taylor Chapel. Other times they walked to the Church of the Living God because Mamma had always been a member of the Spiritual church. Both churches were spirited, lively places of worship integral to the community.
Sometime in either '47 or '48 the Greens began to suspect their prospects in Dansby were drying up. Hoping to better their circumstances they settled a handful of miles away in Jacknash, another community no longer on a map.
