I Can't Stop

Al Green an Willie Mitchell reunited after 27 years to another secular album 

Recorded in March and April 2003, I Can't Stop marks both a new chapter and an historic homecoming for Al Green.  The album was produced and arranged by Willie Mitchell, who oversaw all of Green's classic 1970s recordings.  Mitchell also co-wrote the album's twelve original tracks with Gren (the other four tracks were written by Green alone).  I Can't Stop also features many of the same musicians that recorded with Green at Royal in the 1970s; guitarist Mabon "Teenie" Hodges; bassist Leroy Hodges; backing vocalists Donna Rhodes, Charlie Chalmers, and Sandra Rhodes; and the Royal Horns.
